We want to share an important update about this year’s event. The course crosses multiple jurisdictions, each with its own permitting process and fees. Unfortunately, the rising cost of those permits reached a level we could not justify passing on to our vendors, our partners, or to you.
Because of that, we’re making a change. We’re moving the race to a new location—one where we can secure the route properly, provide real on‑course support, and deliver a finish line experience worthy of every mile you’ve trained for.
Here’s what happens next:
— A new date and location are being finalized. We’ll announce them very soon.
— Your registration will carry over automatically. If you cannot make the new date once announced, your registration will be fully refundable.

10K Run/Walk
As you may know, State, County, and City agencies are currently facing financial challenges, leading to higher fees and new restrictions on venue use. Aztlan Athletics has felt these impacts in recent years, which is why some events have been postponed or rescheduled.
While uncommon, event locations, dates, or times may change with at least 30 days’ notice. In situations such as natural disasters or official cancellations from local authorities, we will notify participants as quickly as possible and share available alternatives.
We appreciate the resilience and flexibility of our supporters as we navigate these changes together. Thank you for being part of our community and joining us at mission‑driven run/walk and wellness events since 1976.
Event Description
Babes of Wellness is a Los Angeles–based wellness studio rooted in movement, community, and health. What began as a space for women and femmes to show up as they are has grown into a citywide collective for inclusive fitness experiences that honor both the body and the land we move through—a practice as old as the trails themselves. Babes of Wellness believes that movement is not about performance, it's about connection, consistency, and reclaiming wellness as something communal and accessible.
Park to Playa reflects that ethos. This 10K is more than a race, it's a shared journey across Los Angeles, inviting runners to experience the city through breath, rhythm, and collective momentum. By bringing people together on the trail, Babes of Wellness creates space to move with intention, celebrate the cultural heritage of this land, and remind us that running, like wellness itself, is powerful and meant to be shared.

Course Description
Early Packet Pick up
Early packet pick up will take place at Stoneview Nature Center (5950 Stoneview Dr, Culver City, CA 90232) on September 12th during Latino Conservation night. There you’ll be able to pick up your packet for the Park to Playa 10K, while also taking part in many cultural activities such as Loteria games, Latino cuisine, and more.
Park to Playa Expo
Upon completion of the Park to Playa 10K, the awards ceremony will take place in the expo area on the sand to highlight our top participants. While you wait for the awards ceremony, walk around the expo with your friends or family and visit vendors, exhibitors, and community partners.
Parking options
1. Park in Culver City Park and get shuttled back from the finish line once you finish the run/walk.
2. Get dropped off at Culver City Park and get picked up at the finish line (33.962500, -118.453114 ) once you finish your run/walk.
